International Friendship Day

Farrer Park Primary School celebrated International Friendship Day for not just a day but an entire week. Students were given different activities throughout the week to emphasise the importance of understanding why Singapore celebrates International Friendship Day.

An exhibition was also set up in the library for students to view the different artwork put up by students, to read books relating to different countries and cultures and also an interactive display that showcases cultures of other countries in detail.

Here are some of the pupils' exhibits.

The lower primary did a Paper Human Chain Doll by designing costumes which symbolises different countries and cultures.

The Primary 4 and 5 students had a treasure hunt where they are given questions about other countries and are to find pictures or objects to depict their answers.

The Primary 6 students had a magnet design activity that tests their creativity to showcase an important landmark or icon that symbolises Singapore or another country.
